Anna van Zoest is a Dutch national with over 15 years of experience in the field of foreign
affairs. Her academic profile includes an MPhil in Politics from the University of Oxford and
a BA in Modern History, Economic History, and Politics from Royal Holloway, University of
London.
Van Zoest’s expertise lies in transatlantic affairs, NATO, security and defence, political
communication, and public diplomacy. She is currently serving as the Director of the
Netherlands Atlantic Association.
Previously, Anna worked for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where she served as a
Seconded National Expert on counterterrorism in the European External Action Service
(EEAS) and as a national diplomat in various diplomatic posts, including the Permanent
Representation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to NATO.
