Kate Hansen Bundt

Bundt has been Secretary General of the Norwegian Atlantic Committee since 2010. She is a political scientist (MA) from the University of Oslo with additional studies from the Humboldt University in Berlin. She holds a BA in history. From 1990-93 Bundt worked at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) and from 1993-2006 she was Research Director at “Europa-programmet”, an Oslo-based think tank. In 2009 she graduated from the executive course at the Norwegian Defence University College, where she still gives lectures.

Bundt is also chair of the board at NUPI since 2014, a board member of NOREF (Norwegian Centre for Conflict Resolution) since 2017, member of the CSIS Stuart Center Advisory Council since 2016 and a member of the council at Fridtjof Nansen Institute (FNI) since 2013. She has taken part in several Government appointed advisory and review committees since 2006. She is frequently invited by the media to comment on security and defence issues and developments in Germany, NATO and the EU.
